The Nigeria Customs Service, Mutarla Mohammed Airport Command in Lagos has met its half-year revenue target of N22.7billion.
It would be recalled that Comptroller General of Customs, Mr. Hameed Ali had given every Command, a yearly target in revenue to generate. The command was given a yearly revenue target of N42.5billion for 2016.
Detailed revenue statistics made available to Daily Champion showed that the Command’s highest revenue was recorded in March with N4.287Billion, followed by June with N4.146Billion, April and May recorded N3.886billion, and N3.526billion respectively.
While, in January and February, the Command collected N3.953billion and N2.899billion respectively. Our investigation revealed that, the airport Command is the only Command that has met up its half year target for the 2016 fiscal year.
The Command’s Controller, Comptroller Frank Allanah, said in an interview that they achieved feat due to total blockage of all revenue leakages and optimal dedication by his officers and men in the command.
Allanah said the Command was optimistic to surpass its 2016 target, stressing that every month, its revenue increases tremendously.
